The Northampton Hotel was the first of our Marriott Project. Unfortunately, the hotel had been affected by a fire and was in serious need of TLC, this including 10 bedrooms and the main corridor floor replacing. The flooring that we opted for was Newhey Carpets Ltd for the carpet supply as they were able to produce the length and pattern of the carpet.

There were a couple of challenges that we faced, the main one being that the corridor flooring, it was around 35 metres long when it arrived, so we used our initiative and ended up cutting it there and then so we could reduce the width, making the carpet handle able.

We worked closely with the staff to ensure they were happy and that we didn’t disrupt their working pattern. They were extremely happy with the results and our flexible approach due to the project being phased.

After this was completed, we also went on to complete work at the Birmingham Marriott hotel, where we replaced conference rooms – again with the supply of Newhey Carpets Ltd.
