At Bradbury Flooring we pride ourselves in providing the complete service; from initial survey and sub-floor preparation through to the actual fitting, we apply our knowledge and experience to make sure the job runs smoothly and that our clients are left 100% satisfied.

Whilst this may be exactly what businesses have come to expect from us, perhaps less obvious to some is the fact that we also ensure that we keep fully up to date with current and predicted trends. Staying at the forefront of fashion may not be the top priority for everyone when considering commercial flooring, but it is always our intention to recommend the very best solutions to our clients and part of that to offer a wide range of options. The inclusion of options which are ‘bang on trend’ is important to those who want their workspace to be a true reflection of their modern company culture and for that reason it is important to us too.

So what can we see as being the big trends for the year ahead? Aside from the continuation of clients looking for quality at a reasonable price, we see the following as making a significant appearance on the floors of 2020:

Flotex

Big in the 70’s but definitely making a comeback. With the warmth of carpet but the durability of hard flooring, Flotex is once again set to become the floor covering of choice where both comfort and resilience are called for. The ability to mix and match tiles or have a designer pattern adds yet another level of choice.

Herringbone

Hardwood flooring has always been a popular choice for many reasons but not all spaces suit a one-colour covering. The addition of a pattern can make a huge difference and a herringbone design not only looks great, but stands the test of time, complementing both modern and traditional office furniture.

Chevron

In a similar way to hardwood herringbone patterns, chevron flooring is an increasingly popular way to introduce subtle V-style patterning to a classical wooden floor. The final effect can be modified by having the planks running either parallel or diagonal to the walls and we see both as being popular in the coming year.

Monochrome

When thinking of carpet tiles, the mind may instantly go towards the traditional colour palettes of blues, browns and greys. What we think will be most noticeable with this particular flooring in 2020 is the use of black and white arranged in interesting bold patterns, and a marked increase in the inclusion of hexagonal shaped tiles too.

Loose Lay Flooring

Perhaps overlooked in recent times but set to see a resurgence in popularity, Loose Lay Flooring allows the transformation of an existing floor with the minimum disruption. Being simply laid on top, it is a quick, cost-effective way to make a big change in style of the entire office space.

Want to know more?

Whilst the above list is not exhaustive, it reflects the kind of shifts in popularity we expect to see in the coming months. Of course, when it comes to commercial flooring, choice is a very personal thing and our main role is to offer a wide range of choice and the most up-to-date knowledge. We cover all the bases, from suitability to overall look and this comprehensive service gives our clients total confidence having Bradbury Flooring as their supplier of choice.
